Haileybury is the venue for the Muscle Warriors spectacular fundraiser that includes the charity’s inaugural 10k Run and a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest three-legged race (across multiple venues) in the UK in partnership with National Family Week on Saturday 5th June. The event also includes a Family Fun Day, a 2k Fancy Dress Toddle through the school’s stunning quad, a Teddy Bear’s Picnic plus the opportunity to not only meet 16yr old Jodie Williams the reigning World Youth 100m and 200m champion but also polar adventurer Michael McGrath, the first and only disabled person in the world to have reached both the North and South Poles. The mascot for Saracens Rugby Club ‘Sarrie the Camel’ will also be making an appearance! The event takes place in the grounds of Haileybury, an independent, co-educational school in Hertfordshire in aid of local charity The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF). “We’re aiming to raise £10,000 for Muscle Dreams, amazing experiences in the UK for children with Muscular Dystrophy”, said the charity’s co-founder Michael McGrath, aka Chief Muscle Warrior. Muscular Dystrophy is the single biggest genetic killer of children in our world today. To register and for more information, visit the official event website at: http://www.musclewarrior10k.com
